Privacy Policy — SwR (Shortwave Radio)

SwR ("the app") is an unofficial client for public KiwiSDR and Web-888 shortwave receivers, published by kruen. This policy explains what data the app does and does not handle.

We do not collect personal data

The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The developer does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. The app stores no personal data on your device beyond your in-app settings.

Network connections you initiate

To do its job, the app connects to third-party services that you choose:

• Public receivers (KiwiSDR / Web-888) — when you connect to a receiver, your device communicates directly with that volunteer-operated server. As with any internet connection, the server can see your IP address. These receivers are operated by third parties and are not controlled by the developer.
• Receiver lists — the list of receivers shown on the map is downloaded from the public registries rx.linkfanel.net (KiwiSDR) and www.rx-888.com (Web-888). Loading a list sends a standard web request (including your IP address) to that server.

The receiver map itself is drawn entirely offline from data bundled with the app; it makes no network requests of its own.

The developer does not receive or log any of this traffic.

Permissions

The app requests only the Internet permission, which is required to stream audio and download the receiver lists.

Children

The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
